This was a throw-in from Penchetta when I ordered my Machinewise Sonora folding knife. As far as pens go, I lean heavily towards machined titanium ballpoints, but this was a pleasant surprise. It's not going to supplant my Tactile Turn or Nottingham TiButton pens for work carry in the field, but it's a surprisingly great writing instrument at an inconceivably low price.

I've had my eye on a Sonora for a really long time, but with so many configurations out there, it took a long time to find exactly what I'm looking for.

Penchetta finally had it in stock and I'm here to tell you, it was worth the wait. I love button locks as a design but they're so rarely well-executed. This is the first one I've found that meets or exceeds the high standard set by Pro-Tech. The design of the integral frame and the action are so incredibly dialed in, I could not be more impressed.

UPS actually lost my package initially, and the fine folks at Penchetta were super attentive and very prompt in their communication. I would be happy to do business with them again!

I recently picked up the TWSBI Obsidian Limited Edition Fountain Pen, and it’s easily one of the most visually striking pens I’ve owned. The color is absolutely stunning—deep, rich, and dynamic. What really stands out is how the resin comes alive in the light; depending on the angle, it reveals subtle depth and variation that photos don’t fully capture. It’s one of those pens you find yourself turning in your hand just to watch it shift.

The rose gold accents are the perfect complement to the body, adding a level of warmth and refinement that elevates the entire design without being flashy. It feels thoughtfully balanced—both aesthetically and physically.

Performance-wise, the medium nib is smooth right out of the box. It lays down a consistent, satisfying line with just the right amount of flow, making it a pleasure for everyday writing.

I also want to give special recognition to Sergio Santa Cruz, whose knowledge and guidance made the selection process easy and enjoyable. His ability to match the right writing tools to specific needs really stands out, and it made a difference in choosing a pen that I truly appreciate.

Overall, this is a beautiful, well-performing pen that combines form and function in all the right ways. Highly recommended for anyone who values both aesthetics and writing experience.

My son wanted this specific pen for graduation and Penchetta ordered it, changed to nib he preferred and nicely engraved it. It’s brass under the matte black, so the engraving has a cool gold hue. Looks good.

I totally love this pen! It writes so well! For a fine point, its juicy! No hesitation with starting to write. Because this style of hooded nib is my first, I wasn't sure how it would perform, but I find it lays down a smooth and satisfying wet line from the first stroke. The ink, I also purchased, Wearinguel, Frankenstein may be an added benefit of how beautifully it responds: a deep crisp purple/black with a bit of sparkle. I also love the magnetic feature of the cap, when opening and closing. It was a pleasure shopping at Penchetta while on vacation in AZ, (a highlight of my trip) I definitely will be back, if not in person online for sure.

I love this ink! So much like James Bond. It's fun to write notes to people and they have to use a UV light to read them. So fun!!!
