We’ve found this to be the most effective way to swap nibs on LAMY feeds.
Supplies:
1) A new nib. We have plenty of new nibs for you to choose from !
2) Tape, almost any kind will work, just try to stay away from any that will leave a residue.
If you buy a nib from us, we place it in our LAMY Nib Holder and secure it with a bit of clear tape that you can use to remove the old nib. The holder has 2 slots, so you can keep the old one around or store a variety of nibs. If you want to buy a holder for nibs you already have, click here.
Step 0 - Cleaning the pen is optional unless you're experiencing functional issues.
Step 1- Place tape over the nib with enough left out the front for you to pull on
Step 2 - With a firm but slow/smooth motion, pull forward and SLIGHTLY down to slide the nib off the feed.
If the nib is wet with ink or water from cleaning, the tape might slip off. A dab with tissue will dry the nib enough to try again.
