Sailor x Levenger Nagahara Emperor Fountain Pen - Gold Trim. The Nagahara Emperor fountain pen features a unique emperor, or rolled tab, on top of the nib. This tab helps provide a supplementary ink reservoir almost like an additional feed to the nib, allowing for wetter ink flow with each stroke. This nib was developed in the early 1990s by Sailor's master nib grinder for over 65 years, Nobuyoshi Nagahara, after they received a customer's request for a nib that would not run dry on even the most absorbent of Japanese papers. As with the other Naginata nibs, the name is inspired by the shape of the tipping, which looks similar to a traditional long sword.
