These envelopes are made of premium Echizen washi paper with a subtle watermark pattern of flowers. If you place a sheet of colored paper inside, the watermarks become clearly visible. Located near the west coast of central Japan, the city of Echizen is home to one of the oldest and most respected paper-making industries in all of Japan.
