Since its launch in 2007, the Platinum Preppy fountain pen has enjoyed a reputation as a smooth-writing, high-quality fountain pen with a remarkably low price. It's easy to use, has a cool look, and comes in a variety of colors and nib sizes. It also features Platinum's patented "Slip and Seal" cap design that keeps the nib from drying out for a year or longer without use. This makes it ideal for new fountain pen users and people who like to switch pens frequently.
