My knife was ordered well before Christmas and I still don't have it !!
Howdy Jeffery,
This is one of the times where a 1 Star review will help you and many others in the future when it comes to holiday or special occasion shipping.
First let's set the stage:
1) You emailed us SUNDAY Dec 14th at 4pm Arizona time to see if we had that limited edition knife in stock.
2) We wrote back at 4:26 to let you know we did have it and gave you additonal information.
3) You placed the order right after that, THANK YOU for supporting our small family business.
You choose for US to pay for shipping ground (marked Free Ground Shipping) instead of the $10 Faster Shipping option (which we still pay a part of)
4) At 5:15 we packed and emailed tracking info for USPS Ground.
5) Monday at 9:22 am you wrote to say the tracking was Invalid.
6) Monday 9:33am I replied I would double check as soon as I got into the shop at 10am
7) Monday 10:11am I replied that the tracking was NOT invalid but that we packed on Sunday when the Post Office is closed and we would be dropping off that day so you would be able to see movement.
This would have been a good time for you to express any concern about shipping delay or carrier as I could have still chnged to any method you preferred.
8) Thur 12/18 7:47am you wrote 'A 400$ knife and you guys couldn’t send it priority mail or fedex ?'
9) At 9:18 am I explained your choice for us to pay for shipping (Free Ground) vs the $10 Faster and how carriers often route to hubs vs straight to you
10) The knife was scheduled to arrive Mon Dec 22nd and of course it didn't
11) We just attempted to file a claim Fri 12/26 but USPS let us know we can not consider an item lost until 15 days (12/30)
We have only had 1 other delayed package in all of 2025 and it did arrive after a couple of weeks. And lucky for us the customer let us know.
We will keep you in the loop as time progresses and update this review.
I can understand your desire to have a special knife for Christmas and your feeling that 10 days would be enough time. However every carrier and company reminds us how crazy the holidays are.
I hope this helps others in the future let us know what carrier and speed they prefer to items arrive safe, sound and timely.
