Maviya S-1 Aluminum Balisong Trainer

I read as many reviews as I can find about an item before I buy it, but there weren't any reviews I could find on this balisong. However, I did get a chance to try it out on the showroom floor before purchasing it.

It feels solid and well built, with a hint of blade bias in my opinion. Id describe the blade shape as a wharncliff with a false edge, which I find appealing.

However, the acoustics are nothing special compared to the LDY Kiite AL 1.5, which has outstanding acoustics. That said, it is sturdy, well built trainer which flips well.

I honestly prefer the LDY Kite due to its acoustics and lower price point, but this isn't a bad trainer to have in the collection. I wasn't going to spend $200+ on a Squid Industries trainer, and this is a good alternative for some on a budget.

–Penchetta's friendliness, advanced products knowledge, & quick delivery rank at 12 on a 1–10 scale. They include a HAND-WRITTEN personalized note. Buying a balisong can be risky. Most online balisong seem to be knives the buyer picked because they "flip around".
–Penchetta carries balisong of only the highest quality. The Maviya S-1 is an example. The unboxing shows that this balisong is from a company whose heartbeat is in its products.
–The Maviya S-1 has well executed gripping surfaces that give great purchase for holding and manipulating its balisong. The fit & finish are flawless. The pivot joints are liquid smooth. The handles-to-blade weight ratio is perfectly measured to ensure the feel of a live blade. The trainer blade design gives ideal visual/mental reference as to where a LIVE blade would have its bite.
–I selected the color pink to be an easy visual reference that the Maviya S-1 is a TRAINER.
–I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE MAVIYA S-1 TRAINER. The price is amazing for a balisong trainer of this quality.
–This is the 2nd balisong I purchased from Penchetta in less than a month. I plan on purchasing more from them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED VENDORS!
